Introduction to Lesson 1
This is the first chapter in Lunn and Moore's Story of Canada. It looks at two main topics: the early geology of Canada and the first people of Canada.Geology is the study and history of the earth's structure and its parts or elements. A hundred centuries is 10,000 years ago. However, the chapter looks farther back than that. It even talks about dinosaurs, which were millions of years ago.
In order for you to learn this material there are three levels of assignments.
Level 1

Level 2
This assignment is a two-column notes assignments. On one side of the assignments is a list of questions and main ideas for you to learn from the chapter. On the other side is a place for you to provide details about the main idea and the questions. It is divided into the sections for the chapter and the last two sections ("A Northern Passage" and "A Day in the Artic: Seven Hundred Years Ago") have the questions and main idea left blank for you to come up with on your own.Download: Level 2 Assignment for Chapter 1
Level 3
This assigment is to create a presentation on Chapter 1 by either creating a Power Point or a PREZI. Download the assignment sheet for the presentation.
